How does Irish Blinds work?

You fill in one short form describing your windows. We pass it to vetted, independent blind fitters covering your county, and up to three of them contact you directly with a price. You choose who to deal with. There is no charge and no obligation to book.

Is it really free?

Yes. Fitters pay to be on the panel, so the quote costs you nothing. You are never charged for using the site and you are under no obligation to accept any quote you receive.

How much do blinds cost in Ireland?

Fitted, per window: roller blinds from about €40, aluminium venetians from about €45, day and night blinds from about €70, pleated from about €75, wooden blinds from about €90, roman blinds from about €120, motorised from about €180, and shutters from about €280. Doing a whole house at once is almost always cheaper per window than doing rooms one at a time.

How long does the whole thing take?

Typically three to four weeks. A survey within three to five working days, two to three weeks to manufacture made-to-measure blinds, then a single fitting visit. Shutters take longer — four to eight weeks — because each set is made to the exact opening.

Do you cover the whole country?

All 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland, from Donegal to Cork and Mayo to Wexford. Coverage is by area rather than by town, so put your address in even if your town is not listed on your county page.

Are the fitters vetted?

Fitters on the panel are checked for insurance and trading history, and are removed if reviews consistently show problems. That said, always get the quote in writing, itemised per window, and check that cord safety devices are fitted before the fitter leaves.
