Cookie policy

We use a small number of cookies. The essential ones make the quote form work and can't be switched off. Everything else is optional and off until you accept it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to function at all; others are used to understand how the site is used. Similar technologies such as local storage work the same way and are covered by this policy.

Your choice

The first time you visit, you're asked to accept all cookies or essential only. Choosing essential only means no analytics cookies are set, and the site works exactly the same.

To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the choice banner will appear again on your next visit. In most browsers this is under Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data.

Blocking cookies entirely

You can block all cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the quote form may not be able to show you validation errors or your reference number, and the reCAPTCHA check may fail. If that happens, phone or email us and we'll take your details directly — see the contact page.

Third-party cookies

Google sets the reCAPTCHA and analytics cookies described above. Their use of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. Links in our shop go to external retailers who set their own cookies once you land on their site; we have no control over those.

More information

See our privacy policy for what we do with the information you actively give us, which is a separate question from cookies.
